CERTIFICATION AND FOOD QUALITY PROVIDED BY THE MAYAN RESORTS AT RIVIERA MAYA

The Mayan Resorts has distinguished itself not only for its spectacular hotels, but also for their exquisite foods that can be found in each one thanks to our renowned chefs, Alexis Bostelmann, who besides delighting our clients, have also been awarded by very important gastronomic international contests. Such is the case of our Executive Chef of The Mayan Palace Riviera Maya, who recently won 4th Gastronomic Contest of the American Meat presented by U.S Meat Export Federation, which has become a renowned international federation as guarantee of the great quality American meat has on the market.Our Executive Chef delighted the group of judges, made up by important personalities of the gastronomic medium, with a “Tagine de Ossobuco of lamb in spices of Marruecos with chili ancho and cous-cous of roasted vegetables and peppermint oil”.

The prepared dish stood out in the category of ORIGINALITY & PRESENTATION (dishes that standout for the combination of the ingredients and flavors, for their presentation and their originality by using cuts of meat from the Unites States). Hygiene was also very important during the process as well as the delivery time. Our Mayan Palace Riviera Maya`s chef won one thousand dollars, a gastronomic trip to the U.S.A, a seminary at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), a visit to the most prestigious vineyard of the Napa Valley and a course given by the American Meat Industry in the U.S.A.
